[Dsg-halla_ecal] pressure sensors for cooling volume

Experience from using the prototype shows we can expect very low pressures. The gauge I used went from 0 to 20 oz/in^2 (0-1.25psi) and that seemed to be about right. The pressure was just below 0.12psi with the release valve wide open. I don't recall exactly what the max pressure was with the valve fully closed but it was not close to the top pressure of 1.25 psi. Regardless, it will have to either be a sensitive pressure sensor or a gas flow monitor.

Hi Don,
>From the pump data sheet it looks like it could supply up to 130 mbar of pressure, but from that drawing it seems the way it is operated is you just bleed off the excess flow/pressure via the adjustment valve?
So the actual pressure should be significantly lower due to always trying to get the most free air flow out of the blower.
Do you have any measurements for what you think the system pressure is actually running at inside the enclosure or should we just select a sensor that is close to the max?
My worry is that we get one that reads in the 100 of mbar, but then the system only is at a handful of mbar so we lose a lot of precision and can't really tell what is going on with the system.

I planned to insert a pressure gauge somewhere into the vertical pipe between the pump and manifold but your gauge could co in there anywhere.

Hi Don,
Do you have a drawing or diagram of the cooling volume and system so we can give it a once over. It will help us determine the best sensor for the task.
Marc
