The Omega process controller which measures the bottom of the ECAL heated volume tripped the heater controls for a second time today. So we removed that Omega from the system while the hall was in controlled access. We switched the bottom thermocouple sensor to the Omega which typically monitors the middle of the heated volume.
Currently, the bottom and top of the heated volume are monitored by the Omegas and will trip the heaters off if the temperature exceeds 290 degrees C.
The EPICS signal HAECAL:HEATCON:ambient_temp:omega_front_middle = the temperature at the bottom of the heated volume
The EPICS signal HAECAL:HEATCON:ambient_temp:omega_front_top = the temperature at the top of the heated volume
We will fix the PV readout during an extended opening (schedule for the coming week)
