A few thermocouples monitoring the ECal crystal and light guide temperatures were not behaving properly. Over the past couple of days I was able to resolve most of those finding loose connections, empty channels with no thermocouple plugged in, reverse polarity wiring, and some mapping issues. I checked the mapping of about 30 channels to the GUI randomly by unplugging and watching to see if the right channel went to 0 on the GUI. I found a group of 2 that needed to be switched and a group of 3 with the wrong ordering and repaired them. I was not able to resolve issues with the thermocouple reading out the rear crystal temperature on the front of crystal 6,4. This channel sits around 10 degC at room temperature and as it heats up, it goes in the negative direction. I was able to confirm that the thermcouple reads out correctly at the detector, but I will work with Marc when we get the chance to look further at the extension cable and the connections inside the DAQ rack.
There were two empty connections on the last light guide cable (LG Temp 24) and I plugged in two enclosure ambient temperatures into those slots: Ch 39 on the light guide reads out Top Ambient Enclosure and Ch 40 reads out Mid Ambient Enclosure Temp 1. Since they already exist in hardware, I will request that Marc add these to the display GUI and mark them as Ambient Enclosure Temperatures.
Lastly, I was able to get the ambient temperature of the rear enclosure to read out stably on the "Interlocks" tab of the GUI. It was oscillating +/-5 degC with a high frequency about a central value.
