Good Morning Kondo,
I am just checking on how the installation of the UVA GEM is going. Please let me know when the Gas Distribution panel moves to the TEDF and provide me with the room location and I will make arrangements to connect the Raspberry Pi and start the gas flow readback software.
Regards,
Marc

Hi Kondo,
The prototype GEM gas distribution rack (8 channels) will be ready to be moved tomorrow morning. I know you have some other items to take care of with the move and cabling of the GEM. Please send me an update after the rack has been moved with the room location of the rack.
At that time I will arrange to travel to the lab and connect the Raspberry Pi and start the flow readout software.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Marc

Hi Marc,
Thanks for the update.
We are also moving the GEM layer to TEDF on Wednesday (tomorrow). After that, I anticipate that it will take a few days to have it completely installed in the bigbite frame (cabling etc ...) and in the meantime, I will arrange with Chuck for the rack and the gas system.
I will keep you informed
Best regards
Kondo

Subject: Prototype Gas Distribution System
Hi Kondo,
DSG is in the process of finalizing the prototype gas system for use in the TEDF. By Wednesday, all components of the Gas Distribution system will be mounted in the rack in EEL 125. At that time we will inform everyone through this mailing list that the rack is ready to be moved to the test location.
At that point the Hall A/UVA contingent should make arrangements to have the rack moved to the test location. Bulk 1/4" gas line will also be left in that area to connect the system to the GEM under test. DSG can provide remote support to connect the gas lines.
After the rack has been moved, please notify me via this mailing list and I will arrange to come and connect the Gas Flow Readback system (Raspberry Pi with software) on the system and test it for functionality. Once this is complete, I will notify everyone of the status.
Regards,
Marc
