[Dsg-ft] INFN Package US Customs Hold

Hello,

The cRio for the Hall B Forward Tagger Hardware Interlock System is 
being held US customs in Richmond.

I've found out there is an outstanding import fee of $25.45 on the package.

I submitted PR # 366674 for signatures under BOPS to cover this charge.

Hi Mitch,

Shown below is the original email from Raffaella De Vita from INFN.

She is a Hall B collaborator and they have shipped a package to Jlab and 
it's being held up in US customs for clearance.

The package is electronic equipment purchased by INFN in Italy and will 
be installed in the Hall B Forward Tagger.

Is there is someone at Jlab that help getting it released from customs 
as they have requested?

You can check with Mitch....But I think since it was an order issued by 
INFN, they should be handling the Customs issues since it is not a 
Jefferson Lab Purchase Order.

    This item was purchased in Italy by INFN and will be used in the

    No Jlab PR because INFN purchased it.

            the compact Rio devices for the FT interlocks was shipped last week and
            is now in US (see
            http://www.dhl.it/en/express/tracking.html?AWB=4611995430&brand=DHL). It
            seems the box is on hold at DHL awaiting for custom clearance: can  you
            check with the appropriate Jlab office to have it released?
