Hi George

Thank you !

Guys are working in hall B to finish the piping on the cart at this moment.

I will take the existing line, the plan B you have proposed, if thing are not ready here by Thursday.

Hi Stehan,

The pre-mix bottles and argon cylinder are ready. The pre-mix supply uses a dedicated 1/2" line to supply gas to hall B. This line terminates on level 1 space frame. This does not currently use the mixing system piping and is ready for use. That is one option if you need gas immediately.

I believe the current plan will supply gas from the pre-mix bottles via the mixing system piping once it has been completed. The pre-mix supply will be disconnected from the current dedicated line to hall B and then re-routed to the mixing system piping on the target gas pad. At least that is my understanding of the plan.

George

can you please let him know what the plans are, if there are issues, please discuss it with me.

Subject: help and advice for MVT gas system

  1. Dear Amrit

  2. I think I need your help and advice for the MVT and FTT gas system

  3. Here in Hall B thing are going quite well for assembly, Central tracker is in magnet, so far so good.

  4. For the gas distribution system, the equipment that was design by George is almost finished and will soon be ready to be qualified.

  5. We will start using premix bottle, and go for mixing system later.

  6. It is not easy for me to understand each group responsibilities, between Hall B staff, DSG, Matt work, security.

  7. Last week George help me with efficiency by finding a simple solution to make the pressure test on our device; I can now bring thing in place.

  8. Brian as done a good job on the gas mixing system, we can now see in Eppic the system

  9. And we have decided a noise hutting on Friday here (all detector in magnet ON, and swith off one after the other to check noise)

  10. Also next week we will start alignment (SVT, MVT, CTOF, ND) survey with cosmic.

  11. Still I am a bit worried for without ad hoc gas our gaseous detectors are blind.

  12. Thank you in advance if you can help/advise me in order to have MVT and FTT breathin

  13. Best regards

  14. Stephan
