Hi Denny and Bob, 

Just a recap of this morning's conversation, DSG will need at least two weeks notice of any work which would cause an interruption of N2 to Hall B. This will give enough time to order high pressure LN2 dewars to be delivered to the hall. This will ensure that the Aerogel has a continuous source of N2 at all times to prevent the absorption of moisture.

Hi Amrit, 

This was work in progress that was interrupted for the run. 

I specified the requirement for a temporary alternative N2 supply to maintain the RICH aerogel purge during the outage. 

The work plus pressure testing could take a week or longer. It's important to complete all the required work to eliminate the need for subsequent N2 outages. 

The hot work, brazing the fittings for the relief valve, and it's detailed QA requirements, will drive the timing of this work. Then once all the tasks have been accomplished, pressure testing will require at least a day, maybe more. 

The bottom line is that this must be well planned.

Hi Bob, 

The pressure systems work for the Hall B N2 distribution system is incomplete. This work was placed on hold until after this run period. This work requires isolation of the Hall B N2 gas supply. A temporary alternative N2 supply will be required to maintain the RICH aerogel purge during the outage. 

Dave Kashy is the DA on this system. 

The following tasks are outstanding; 
- Relief valve installation 
- Fwd Carriage flex line replacement 
- RICH N2 supply valve relocation 
The following task is NEW; 
- RICH N2 supply capacity increase (Upgrade) 
Re-purpose existing ½” gas line to double flow capacity to FWD Carriage to prepare for 2nd RICH N2 flow requirements 

I have attached a pdf showing the N2 supply P&I diagram with the piping changes in red. I have also attached a pdf showing the relief valve installation detail. All the components required for the relief valve installation were stored in the gas shed prior to this run.
