[Dsg-hallb_magnets] hall sensors and current direction/field direction

Hello Probir,
PLC program has not been changed since the last test that we performed. Program is set to handle injected current in the coils as 1 [A], since we are not considering dump resistor values (Idump = 0 A) for this test.
Once the current will be injected (1 A), we should be able to readout the 'estimate temperature' in the 5 coils without any problem.
Best Regards,
Pablo

Subject: hall sensors and current direction/field direction
Ruben,
All hall sensors read correctly, when checked (Ruben have screen shots remotely in EPICS).
Also connected the bench top PSU and charged with 1A.
The changes observed with increasing the current from 1 A to 5A, all follows nicely as expected.
The conclusion -
1. Lead A connected negative and B positive as in the drawing.
2. All hall sensors read as expected with the excitation current direction set.
3. The NORTH pole with the setup in point #1 is towards the torus (along the beam direction or towards DS).
Nothing to change from set up perspective, but if physicists needs to change the direction that shall be carried out in the MPS (reversal switch for polarity).
Dave/Pablo - Scot is presently working on the SST will be done in another hour. After that will be possible to read the coil/voltages thus coil temp (Pablo hope the program with 1A current set has not been changed)
regards
Probir
