[Dsg-hallb_magnets] Changing Torus Fast-Daq IDCCT1 signal?

Hi Tyler,

IDCCT1 is acting like a floating signal at the moment as the power supply is off. What you are seeing is noise, perhaps up to 10mv(4A) due to the analog scaling.

Please proceed.

Thanks,

Nick

Subject: [Dsg-hallb_magnets] Changing Torus Fast-Daq IDCCT1 signal?

Hello Ruben,

I have been monitoring the Torus Live Fast-Daq EPICS screen in preparation for testing the digital filters and have noticed odd signals in IDCCT1.

IDCCT1 Fast-Daq signal is changing in amplitude as I monitor it. So far I have seen it steady at several amplitudes including 4 [A], 0.025 [A], and 1 [A]. Attached are screen shots of the EPICS Fast-Daq Live screen showing these signals and also a screen shot of the signal in transition from one amplitude to another.

01 Torus Fast-Daq IDCCT1- large 4 A amplitude signal- 2017-01-18 at 933AM -- shows 4 [A] amplitude signal seen at 9:33AM.
02 Torus Fast-Daq IDCCT- transition to small amplitude- 2017-01-18 933AM-- shows transition from 4 [A] amplitude to 0.025 [A] amplitude.
03 Torus Fast-Daq IDCCT1- 0.025 A amplitude signal- 2017-01-18 at 934AM -- shows 0.025 [A] amplitude signal seen at 9:35AM
04 Torus Fast-Daq IDCCT1- 1 A amplitude signal- 2017-01-18 at 950AM -- shows 1 [A] amplitude signal seen at 9:50AM.

Is there any work occurring on the Torus system that would affect the IDCCT1 signal or Fast-Daq signals? If so, should I hold off on any testing of the digital filters until the work is done?

Best regards,
Tyler
