[Dsg-hallb_magnets] EV8611CD and EV861JT - issues

We made great progress on the Crows nest this morning.
It would be ideal if you can have a look at the valve seals this afternoon and then check the stroke of the valves.

Thanks
Dave

Guys,
Please plan for this on Thursday.
BUT, before this we need to pull and inspect the valve stems, and also check the force of the actuators.
Thanks
Dave

Hello Scot,

I will be in the hall tomorrow at 9:00 AM to do the LVDT's calibration.
I'll see you there.

Best Regards,
Pablo

Pablo,

Let me know what time you will be in Hall B tomorrow.

We can verify and address the function issues of the JTV drive controls and re-calibrate the LVDT's if necessary.

Pablo,

Can you please start a log of issues as we start to commission of I and C sub-systems?

Gentlemen,

First issues noted today during the leak test and pressure test:

1. EV8611CD was reading -5% on EPICS suggesting it was closed. However visual inspection of the valve stem suggested that perhaps it was not fully closed. Cycling it a few times seems to have resolved the problem. Could you check that all is well, particularly with the LVDT calibration?

2. EV8611JT.
The EPICS symbol did not turn red on valve closure. If it displayed a large negative number (e.g. -1.17%), then the symbol turned red, otherwise, if it displayed just -0.5%, it remained green.

Could all the other valves be behaving this way too?

Regards

Ruben
