[Dsg-hallb_magnets] [Dsg-internal] Solenoid work log

Hello Amrit, 

The following is log work for 9/14/17: 

7:00 AM - Reset (Power cycle) Solenoid PLC and FastDAQ cRIO to recover all solenoid control systems. 
8:00 AM - Investigated all controls systems and instrumentation affected by the power outage on Solenoid/DBX UPS. 
8:30 AM - Noticed that Torus PLC Point I/O system and Torus FastDAQ cRIO were affected. PLC point I/O system returned to normal operations, not the same case for the Torus FastDAQ cRIO. 
9:00 AM - Stared to debugged Sol - FastDAQ cRIO and noticed that it did not recover after power cycle and put the system on Safe mode. 
10:00 AM - Began debugging to recover communications with Solenoid FastDAQ via direct Ethernet and RS232 connections. 
11:00 AM - Swapped Solenoid FastDAQ cRIO by spare available (the one that was recover after the 2nd outage power issue back on 06/28/17) 
11:50 AM - Deployed FastDAQ LabVIEW program on the cRIO. 
14:00 PM - Attended Solenoid Plan Forward and Responsibilities (Find attached minutes meeting) 
14:30 PM - Re-deployed FastDAQ LabVIEW program on the cRIO, Run cRIO full functions to readout all voltage taps on the magnet. 
15:30: PM - Stared Power up solenoid to 1000 A. After the solenoid cooldown recover, we monitored and wait VCL temperatures go from 12 to 10 K. 
16:30 PM - Monitored main cryo signals, VTs , MPS current voltage and 
17:30 PM - Noticed unstable supply cooldown helium to cooldown the solenoid, controlled ramp down initiated due to LL he and raise on temperatures in VCL.(problems not present when Torus was on line). 
18:10 pm - Stopped ramp up of the magnet. 

Plan to continue the power -up to 1250 A tomorrow at 8:00 AM.

Hello Amrit, Meeting to plan the activities and roles finished at 2:40 pm. Brian and I were debugging the solenoid fastDaq cRIO. We re-deployed the labview program with the FPGA filter version. We are monitoring temperatures in the coils (~5 K), Cooldown has been recovered, but we are still waiting to get low temperatures in te vcl, they are about 12K. It has been planed to start power up the solenoid in a few minutes.( about15:30) Regards, Pablo
