thanks for the answers. 
you're right, the 120KHz glenn determined is not from any equipment. 
but with regards to the threshold, do you mean the QD performs a Common Mode Rejection kind of procedure.

The QD threshold uses the difference between lower and upper, so that would (or should) have been cancelled out by the lower.
