[Dsg-hallb_magnets] High and Low pass/fail values for Torus pre-powerup instrumentation checks?

Hi Nick,
Thank you for sending that Excel document.
Everyone,
For the PVs without any defined limits, what limits should be used?
For the limits on the Hall sensors, I have them currently set to where the sensor will pass the check if the Hall sensor reads between -1 and 1 since they should all be at zero when the check is performed with a non-powered magnet.
For the strain gauges, I used the myStats program to get the average (A) and standard deviation (S) for the sensors over the past one month. I then used that data to set the high limit to A + 2S and the low limit to A - 2S. From statistics, that +/- 2S range around the average should contain 95% of the sensor's readings. However, the majority of the sensors still fail the checks. I'm guessing that it is because the majority of those sensors have not changed over the past month so the standard deviation is essentially zero.
For the strain gauges, what should the interlock check limits be?
-Tyler

I think I started one for the Torus but never finished for the same reason; I wasn't sure what to to put for the limits.
I'll see if I can dig it up and send it to you.

Hello,
We're currently performing Hall B Magnet pre-power up checks.
Part of this is the instrumentation check list.
For the Solenoid, Brian wrote a nice program that automates the check and posts results to the Solenoid logbook. Since there isn't an equivalent program for the Torus, I'm in the process of making one.
For the Torus, what are the limits sensors should be within for it to pass the checks?
Could someone fill out the attached spreadsheet with the limits?
If a resource for the check limits already exists, can someone send it to me?
