Hi Brian

Due to low pressure of pure isobutene, ~45 psi at room temp, the only way the know what is left in the bottle is to weight them from the beginning (in fact when we order, the quotation is done in Kg).

At Saclay I have bought standard scale person for quite low cost on our pure isobutene bottle.

Stephan

Hi Stephan,

The current mixing system is the "lite" version to save on costs, as such doesn't include any scales. Hall B Engineering will be monitoring gas levels manually.

We could use the capability of the MFCs to monitor total flow and use that to calculate how much gas has flown if that's important. However, it is a bit of a black box and certainly won't be as accurate/simple as a scale, but it is free in that it's just software.
