Marc,
I'm still communicating with Facilities regarding flammable service in 96B. I hope to know within the next couple of days.
Can you please swing by my office tomorrow and we can look at the CAD model and discuss the possibility of adding the items you mentioned as well as climate control for the rack? Its a 23in rack, quite large with plenty of room remaining.
Matt

Subject: MVT gas mixing electronics/network equipment
Hi Matt and Bob,
Is there a firm plan on the location of the MVT mixing instrumentation,
electronics, and network equipment. If the equipment cannot be located
in the Hall, I understand that the gas pad may be the next logical
choice. The instrumentation which will have to be at the gas panel are
the MFCs, which are temperature sensitive. The MFCs communicate via the
network, so under normal circumstances we would like to have a switch at
the location. We would also like to put the power for the MFCs (a
chassis containing a power supply) in that location if possible. To
house all of these components, may require large enclosure, or rack
which can be enclosed and climate controlled to keep all components
running and in good shape for the long run. At any rate, please let us
(DSG) know as soon as a decision is made, so that we can plan accordingly.
Thanks,
