George,
I definitely agree with you that we need to have a better system for the MVT gas control.
On the pre-mix, do we have a delivery schedule for the 10 and the additional 20 bottles
we (Amrit) ordered?
Volker

Hi Volker,
The current MVT gas mixing system layout may be problematic for temperature control of the C4H10 gas. In order to supply isobutane at high enough pressure for the MFCs to work, it must be heated along with all components it comes into contact with. Obviously, the lower the ambient temperature, the more likely there will be a component that causes the gas to condense.
The best long term option would be to redesign the MFC layout in a manner prioritizing the heating and insulation of the components.
For the short term, operation with pre-mix gas looks to be the solution. There is one cylinder of pre-mix remaining at the 96B gas pad.

Hi George,
Do we have a solution for running the MM during the next part of the run? If we can't get the mixing system in the gas shed and transport to the hall to function properly can we go back to the operation with premixed gas from bottles in the Hall?
As you know we ordered 10 premix bottles and additional 20 are also in the system. This should be enough to run the entire period until March 22 with premix gas from the Hall (if needed).
