[Dsg-rich] RICH Pressure calculations

HI Marc and George, 

Unfortunately changing the relief set pressure does not necessarily mean that the system will be excepted from the program. I have seen some incorrect information moving in these e-mails. It would be best if we could all sit down and formally decide what needs to be done and map out all parts of the system. Wording like downstream of the bottle must be determined by a DA are not correct. Also there are no exempt systems. They are either excluded or excepted. 

Do you all have time today to sit down for about 30 min to get a detailed work plan together?

I plan on replacing the 50 psi relief valve with a 15 psi relief. Then we will set the pressure regulator to 10 psi instead of 15 psi. I plan on making this change to all the new N2 purge systems hall B. 

This is to exempt these systems IAW chapter 6151 of the ES&H manual.

Hi Marc, 

It seems that Patrizia is away from the lab. I do not have an estimate for the time this will take but it will be significant. I am working on it nights and weekends to make it happen. I don't know if I will make the December review though. This system will have to be tested and inspected which will not be a trivial thing. Please note that the mixed materials in the Swagelok fittings are not in compliance with manufacturer's catalog/manuals and may have to be replaced with brass ferrules and copper tubing.
