George:
We have a plan for the layout of the room, but I had not received any
information
about the addition of electrical infrastructure. We'll need to do the
following:
a) walk through the plan and determine where the power needs to be
installed to
support the compressor,
b) determine if there is any power in the area that is available to
support this load,
if not we'll have to determine where we're routing it from,
c) come up with a price and schedule to do the work in time to support
this activity.
If the price is too high, we may need to think about alternatives,
including using
a different compressor OR relocating the work to where the power is
available.
Still, if there is a welding outlet in the room (I'm not sure), we may
be able to
purchase and use one of the new Bertha's to support this activity. That
would
be less than $10,000.
I will walk the area with Jason as soon as possible. In the meantime,
though,
please send me a list of all of the electrical and mechanical
infrastructure that
you need to have installed in the room so we can consider it in its
entirety.
Jason: I'm doing a walk through of EEL 126 today (2:00 pm) with someone
else
from Facilities, do you want to check this out at the same time?
