[Dsg-rich] RICH Assembly in EEL 124, SVT space needed in cleanroom

All:

I did send a couple of revisions to Dario Orecchini this morning that
allow the
RICH to be rotated without encroaching on space that is currently
allocated to
other activities. I've attached a copy of those images.

Still, there may be some wrong thinking here - particularly in regard to the
request for a file showing both SVT and RICH. Most importantly, just
because
a space has not been allocated to one activity or the other, does not
mean it
is available to be absorbed. As I mentioned in an earlier e-mail, there
are many
activities that will be flowing in and out of all of these spaces over
the course
of the next couple of years. In some cases, the new activities will be
driven by
emerging situations that we won't even know about until they happen.
Because
of this, some free space must always be maintained --- and all of our
areas must
be managed carefully.

Having said that, before proposing any sweeping changes to the uses of any
of the spaces - please touch base with me so we can discuss the implications
for all of our colleagues.
