Hi Tayler, Dario and Sandro,
together with Ilaria we checked this afternoom the board mounting on
the electronic panel. We used an adapter board with male connectors
(the ones normally mounted on the MAROC board) inserted. We found few
places where the connector hardly fit (8 holes). We also identify two
pairs of holes for screw missing (4 holes in total). If possible we
would like to fix this remaining items tomorrow with your help.

Below there are the actions we envision, in order that Dario and
Sandro can review and provide advice.

Mechanics:
In general, for enlarging the holes we would avoid the dremel, as
it is more difficult to control than a manual file. For the missing
holes we would mount regular boards (prototype versions) and sign
the exact missing hole locations.

The hole should be done with a specific drill bit (INFN) that rotate
clockwise despite the counter-thread at maximum speed, to avoid to
strip the fibers.

After the rework there are few scratches, mostly on the back skin.
Should we treat them in any way to prevent CFRP aging or interference
with the electronics due to the CFRP conductive material ?

Cleaning:
We plan to detouch the panel from the support and rotate it in
order to allow the dust to come out of the holes. We will use the
vacuum cleaner but also would like to wipe the surfaces. Should
the wipe be dry or can we use any water/alcool to make it more
effective ?

Thanks, Marco.
