Subject: [Dsg-rich] RICH tasks and move to trolley
Hello,
In regards to Marc's email from this morning, DSG has discussed a more detailed timeline for tasks:
December 13, 2017
The four-dewar manifold will be ready. Marc is gathering the two additional regulators needed to connect the third and fourth dewar. DSG will perform a test to ensure all regulators and the manifold are ready for operation over the shutdown. Four dewars can be moved into EEL 125 as soon as Target Group has removed their dewars from the EEL High Bay area.
December 14, 2017
Marc will order four dewars and request the dewars be delivered on Decemeber 20, 2017. This ensures the dewars arrive by the last day before the shutdown.
December 15, 2017
DSG will begin clearing EEL 125 to make room for RICH's transport trolley. INFN collaborators must determine what items in EEL 125 are no longer needed so DSG can dispose of the items. EEL 125 must be cleared because there is currently not room for the trolley. At this time, space should also start to be cleared in EEL 124 cleanroom to allow the trolley to enter through the front roll-up door.
December 18, 2017
The trolley should arrive at the EEL. In their meeting with Bob Miller, INFN collaborators should request the trolley be bought to the EEL on this day.
Decemeber 19, 2017
DSG will provide the necessary support to prepare the trolley for RICH.
December 22, 2017
At the latest, four dewars will be moved into EEL and connected to nitrogen panel to provide nitrogen over shutdown. Also on December 22, RICH will be dismounted from the assembly structure and placed on the transport trolley. As Marc mentioned in his email, Bob Miller will have to generate a lift plan and write an OSP as the current OSP does not cover moving RICH after assembly. Support from Hall B Engineering will also be needed to move RICH to the trolley as George (DSG's Master Rigger) will not be here on December 22. A specific procedure will need to be developed on how RICH will be transferred to the trolley. The procedure should include how and when to disconnect the nitrogen inlet and exhaust lines and how RICH should be moved from the assembly structure to the trolley.
Between the dates listed above, DSG will be available to support any other RICH assembly tasks.
Best regards,
Tyler
