thanks marc.
i hope that for rusty there exists an alternate who could verify these tests.
tyler has generated a schedule, so you may wish to let rusty and his alternate know roughly when the test is planned.
george,
i hope you are able to pick out the right bit.
i suggest once you pick out the bit, order it ASAP.
after ordering send the info on the bit and the hilti to doug.
(i know this sounds #$$ backwards, but i don't want us to sit around waiting for concurrence before ordering the bit, since time is of the essence.)
hopefully there is concurrence.
(if not, we have done our part, hallb will procure the right bit and the hilti.)

when are the threaded rods, nuts and hiltis due?
Tyler thought it was end of feb.
is it?

it will be really unacceptable if we don't have these items in hand before the collaborators come.
amrit

Amrit, The SME is Rusty Sprouse, and I believe George is looking into the bits for drilling. TOSP 64632 (Assembly of the RICH detector) has been returned pending a 125% load test of the hand winch. This test will only be done after the assembly structure is completed, the schedule has the assembly of the structure completing on March 13. Other than the 125% load test, the SME for Cranes and Hoists also requires an inspection of the shoulder eye bolts before he will sign the TOSP. George Jacobs has informed me that conducting the load test is an engineered lift, and it must be reviewed/conducted by Hall B engineering. The documentation of the components (the winch and the pulley) are attached to the TOSP. https://mis.jlab.org/mis/apps/mis_forms/operational_safety_procedure_form.cfm?entry_id=64632 Please let myself or Tyler Lemon know if we can assist with the location of documentation provided by INFN.
