Hey Brian:

If you'd like to meet me over there in five minutes, I can show
you what needs to be done before you power the system up.
In short, the elements that are hardwired together need
to be connected with a chain that prevents them from being
unintentionally separated (this placing undue stress on the
connections).  This is one of the accommodations that allows us
to use this technique.

I'll be over there shortly, and we can look it over.
