hi doug,
that's good that you are from now on on the mailing list.
thank you for coming over and supervising the lift.
it is important for DSG to have someone of your experience guide us.
as for the lift plan for the detector, marc will generate one, if you think it is needed.
much as DSG wants to comply wit all safety requirements, at times we find it very difficult to get a list of all the safety documentation that is needed.
despite this we'll try and imrove our communications.
thanks again
amrit

hello doug,
bob miller and rusty signed the TOSP.
as per the TOSP the gantry had to be used, this was mandated by safety and agreed to by bob.
there was no comment or suggestion that a lift plan is required.
also, you have been aware by e-mail for quite a while about the plan to use the gantry.
so why didn't anybody mention it before.
everybody is sleeping on the job?
this is very disappointing.

Hi Doug and Denny,
Tomorrow morning (3/10 at 0845 in the EEL 124 clean room) INFN and the
DSG will perform a lift (rotation) of the RICH detector shell as
prescribed in the approved TOSP. This will be a brief operation which
should take less than an hour, and it will be observed by Patrizia prior
to the CLAS 12 RICH meeting. Hall B mechanical support is needed in the
form of an addition qualified operator for the gantry 2 ton chain fall.
If a qualified rigger can supervise non qualified chain fall operator,
then the additional support is not needed. I am attaching the TOSP for
review of your operator so they can sign prior to the work.
Thanks in advance for your prompt support.
