[Dsg-rich] Ladder Use in the Clean Room

Hi All,

Ladder use at Jlab has specific rules which entail working height,
ladder inspection, and points of contact while climbing/decending. For
work requiring the use of both hands, a ladder may not be safe and may
require additional fall protection. For these reasons, the DSG manager
has strongly encouraged the use of the Biljax man-lift for work at
heights in the clean room instead of ladders.

If there is a need to use a ladder in the clean room the matter should
be discussed with the DSG manager or his designee, prior to use.

Per Jlab EH&S, ladders may only be used by staff/users who have
completed SAF 307 (Ladder Safety) training. In the case where a user
does not have this training, please contact a DSG member for help with
the task.

Stay safe,
