Hello,
This afternoon, we repeated the test of the stainless steel manifold with a 16-foot 1/2" OD line. This replicates RICH's cooling system after the patch panels.
The results are of the test are:
Gas Panel pressure regulator setting [psi]
flow measured [liters/min]
10
200
20
300
30
380
40
460
50
560
60
600+
As expected, with the shorter 1/2" OD line, we are able to reach at least 600 liters/minute of airflow. With the shorter line, we would also able to reach a higher flow rate (as shown in attached MYA Viewer plot). In the previous test with a 40-foot 1/2" OD line, the airflow maxed out at ~600 liters/minute. In today's test with a 16-foot 1/2" OD line, we had to use the manual rotameter to limit the flow to 600 liters/minute.
We were able to read the airflow through the cRIO and EPICS. The attached MYA Viewer plot shows the airflow measured during the test. The parts where the signal increases and then flattens out corresponds to the time when the gas panel's regulator setting was changed.
Despite being connected, we were not able to read the pressure in the gas system's air tank. We will debug the pressure signal tomorrow.
Best regards,
Tyler
