Hello,

Today, DSG met to discuss the RICH air-cooling test results posted on the RICH logbook. Looking at the results of the test, we have two suggestions.

The first suggestion is we could put more holes in the upper section on the cooling manifold where the temperatures are highest. There are more electronic boards in this area and more holes would provide more airflow to this area.

The second suggestion is we could drill another exhaust hole between the two sets of exhaust holes. This hole would be over the hot region in the middle of the panel and would increase air circulation in that area. To prevent carbon fiber dust and shavings from falling on the electronics, we would cover the area to be drilled with a bag to catch all resulting dust.

Please let us know your thoughts on the suggestions above.

Best regards,
Tyler
