[Dsg-rich] RICH N2 system automatic backup

Hello,

DSG has developed a system to automatically switch RICH to a back up bank of nitrogen in the event that Hall B's main nitrogen supply is stopped.

The system is designed to use a pneumatic valve operated using the

pressure from the main N2 supply line that will open if that supply pressure drops. The open pneumatic valve will then allow N2 to flow to RICH from a bank of nitrogen bottles. Attached is a revised RICH nitrogen system diagram showing the new automatic switch-over components.

George has assembled the new components and DSG would like to test them at the beginning of next year after the holidays. To be able to do any sort of testing, the components and test procedure will need to undergo a pressure systems analysis by a Design Authority (DA).

DSG will provide the necessary documentation to the DA once one is requested and assigned.

Best regards,

Tyler
