thanks for the e-mail tyler

as ed points out and you (tyler) concur, the process is a finite-state automation.

henceforth, dsg will request the relevant authorities for a DA at the start of a project.

Hello Ed,

For RICH, we have made several changes to the air-cooling and N2 system. For these changes, we have had four DAs and they have all followed different procedure to approve the changes.

>From your email, it is now clear that we need to contact a DA before any preliminary design phase to have their input on the entire design process. We will follow this procedure for any future pressure system modifications or development.

Best regards,

Tyler

Hi Amrit

I believe what Will is trying to point out is that a design authority is required to be involve when a pressure system begins the design stage. It must be approved and documented before the design is finalized and again as it is assembled. Jenord Alston is a good recourse to help with the inspection requirements. This would have been another pressure system violation if Bob had not caught it.

thanks

Ed

Ed,

Please take a look at the below e-mail train. It looks like Bob is having to deal with another pressure system that has been modified without DA involvement. This time from the Detector Service Group. We need to get this under control. Remember DA stands for DESIGN authority, not APPROVING authority - of course you know that.

Thanks,

Will

Hi Tyler,

Please send the drawings, pressure systems number, and whatever documentation you have to Bill Crahen and myself.

Bill will be the DA on this project.

Regards,

Bob

bob,

please assign a design authority for the analysis and approval of the system.

thanks
