Hi Denny,

The N2 gas supply for the back up system is due from the vendor next week. The gas is supplied in nitrogen "12 packs", banks of 12 HP cylinders. Hall D uses argon and CO2 12 packs for it's DC gas system. A 0-60 psi pressure regulator is required for this.

Subject: [Dsg-rich] RICH Backup N2 manifold installation

Hello Denny,

We have a backup N2 manifold for RICH that needs to be installed on the detector's N2 panel on the top deck of FC. Bob has told us that we should talk to you to get the backup manifold installed. I have the manifold in the EEL and it can be picked up at anytime.

The 12-bottle nitrogen bank that will act as the back-up supply is expected to arrive around Feb 5, 2019. For the backup manifold to be installed without the backup supply, it would need a valve to prevent regular N2 back flow out of the connection point for the back-up supply.

Also, once the back-up N2 bank arrives, Hall B will have to determine the best place for it to be located and how to best run a line from it to the back-up manifold on the top deck of the FC.

Please let us know if you need any more info.

Best regards,

Tyler
