Hi Bob,
The two new N2 panel pressure alarms have been added to the RICH Gas Alarm Settings EPICS screen and Nathan Baltzell has pushed the changes live.
The screen is accessible through the path below:
clascss main menu -> RICH -> RICH Overview -> Hard Interlocks -> Alarm Settings.
As for the N2 backup banks, there is no rental fee with keeping the banks. >From George, the current contract with the gas supplier is for just the payment for the bank when they are ordered and the empty banks are returned to the supplier when new ones are delivered.
Best regards,
Tyler

Hi Marco,
The following corrective actions have been completed:
1. Administrative tags have been placed on all valves, pressure regulator, and rotometer from the N2 dewar to the RICH detector to keep N2 flowing at the correct pressure and flow rate.
2. Two banks of N2 bottles have been installed in the Hall and are on line. Administrative tags have been placed on the valves also.
3. During the Sep-Oct maintenance period, I will move the N2 gas panel supply valve to the N2 gas panel
4. An alarm has been set up at 20 psi N2 supply pressure that will
notify the engineering on call person. Normal N2 supply pressure is 35 psi.
5. An alarm has been set up at 10 psi for the back up bottles to know if
they are ready to supply the RICH. This alarm will also notify the
engineering on call person. Back up N2 pressure is 20 psi for bank 1, and 15 psi for bank 2.
6. Tyler Lemon will determine the cost of the N2 back up bottles and we will decide if we should change the back up supply to our argon dewar.
Regards,
Bob

Dear Bob,
thank you for the notice and the accurate mitigation measures.
(Sorry if I answer now: I was distracted by the coll.
meeting last week).
Best regards, Marco.

All,
The following corrective actions will be taken to ensure the RICH N2 supply is not interrupted:
1. The N2 supply valve is now locked open and has a lock out tag on it
as shown in the pictures below
2. Replacement back up bottles have been ordered by Tyler
3. When the replacement bottles have been installed, I will move the
supply valve to the RICH gas panel
4. An alarm has been set up at 20 psi N2 supply pressure that will
notify the engineering on call person
5. An alarm will be set up at 10 psi for the back up bottles to know if
they are ready to supply the RICH. This alarm will also notify the
engineering on call person.
Regards,
Bob
