Hi Bob, Calvin, and Marco,
RICH compressor 2 worked fine over night so we switched back to compressor 1 this morning.
We saw that the pressure wasn’t being maintained in the buffer tank with compressor 1.
Aaron, Pablo, and I went down to shut off all compressors as requested , but before doing so, wanted to do one last test to see if the compressor could get just the buffer tank (with flow to RICH stopped) up to the pressure where the compressor shuts itself off.
When the compressor got up to ~106 psi according to its display screen, we heard a squealing sound come from inside the compressor so we hit its emergency stop button to shut it off.
Compressor 1’s inability to keep pressure in the buffer tank combined with that squealing sound to me definitely points to something wrong with the compressor.
We’re not sure where to go from here with Compressor 1, if there is something we can do at JLab or if we’d have to call Atlas Copco.
Best regards,
Tyler

Hello,
It seems like there are still issues with Compressor 1. It is not behaving the same as Compressor 2 (see attached plot).
When we go turn it off shortly, we'll see if there is anything obvious (like another leak) causing the pressure to not be maintained.
Best regards,
Tyler

Hi Marco,
We've swapped to Compressor 1 now and we'll let it run for a few hours and then turn it off to prevent humidity from rising further.

Perfect, thank you.
