[Dsg-rich] [EXTERNAL] RICH High Voltage

Hi Marco,

Have the issues you noted in the entry occurred before or is this the first time we've seen it?

Based on the HV mapping at the link below, a lot of the channels with issues are on the same HV card:
Situation 1.) All channels listed are on HV card in slot 13.
Situation 2.) Tiles 46, 47, 51 - 53, and 57 - 58 correspond to channels 25 - 31 of the HV card in slot 12.

https://clasweb.jlab.org/wiki/images/c/c2/Rich_HV_Naming.txt

Could it be that there is a hardware issue with these cards?

Also, from the list at the link, all the affected channels are "next to" each other in the crate so it could also be, like you said, an issue with the EPICS communication where the channel info wasn't scanned or read out correctly due to a comms loss or network error.

Best regards,
Tyler

Dear all,
I spoke with Aram about a potential issue on the RICH HV that he noticed
while on shift these last days.
I had a look at epics data and made this elog entry:
https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3768485

We should discuss if this is a real issue or not.

Best regards,
Marco
