[dsg-hallb_rich] Drybox quotes and comparison

Hello,

We have received quotes from two companies for a new drybox.

Attached are both companies' quotes. SuperDry's quote also includes the manual for their drybox. Smart Dry's manual is attached in a separate PDF. Also attached is a PDF containing a table comparing the important specs of each drybox.

Below is a quick summary of the most important specs (cost, volume, lowest humidity in % RH, manufacturing location, and one feature that sets it apart from the other company)

SuperDry's drybox cost is ~$18k (includes one expansion box). Total volume is ~2400 L. It dehumidifies down to 0.5%RH. It is made in Germany. It has the ability to add up to two additional ~1200 L expansions to it.

ECD's SmartDry drybox cost is ~$19k (includes shipping cost and 10 shelves). Total volume is ~1360 L. It dehumidifies down to 0.5%RH. It is made in the USA. It comes standard with status lighting to indicate internal humidity alarm status.


We can discuss which drybox to go through procurement for in Monday's meeting.
