Dear Tyler and All,
I knew this morning that in order to come to Jlab our users should have a TA approved by DOE, yes it is crazy but it is what it is.
Of course this will require some time. Just a couple of hours ago I had a phone meeting with Battaglieri and he is going to send an e-mail to Mike Meier to ask why we need this additional complication.
You will receive – hopefully soon – an update on how to proceed. This e-mail is just to give you a heads up of the bureaucratic complications that we might face and that could delay the travel of the Italian colleagues to Jlab. Stay tuned.

Subject: [dsg-hallb_rich] Safety documentation for RICH assembly
Hi Marco Mirazita, Sandro, and Dario,
In the RICH collaborator meeting on Friday, we discussed how the three of you all are in the process of making travel arrangements for to come to JLab starting 11/30.
For us to be able to start work on assembly of the detector shell around that time with no delays, we will need some finalized documentation for the safety documentation by that time.
The minimum documentation needed is a repeat of the rotation force calculations with the mass used for RICH increased to take into consideration the additional weight of the stiffening tool.
This could be something as simple as the slides used for the previous RICH updated to use the increased mass of the shell with the stiffening tool.
