Subject: [dsg-hallb_rich] Alternate possibility for RICH mirror springs

Hello Marco Mirazita,

There has not been any progress on the procurement of the springs for the RICH spherical mirror support.

As a backup I started looking again at different websites for the springs and revisited the ones on Grainger.com that I initially sent you.

https://www.grainger.com/product/SPEC-Compression-Spring-Music-Wire-781KU9
https://www.grainger.com/product/SPEC-Compression-Spring-Music-Wire-781KD9

I am somewhat confident that these springs are the same as the ones from dim.molle.com. In the attached screenshot from Grainger, the manufacturer model number is the same as dim.molle.com's and the ends of the springs are specified to be squared and ground. The photo shown on Grainger seems to be a generic spring picture since all springs in the "alternate products" section on the site have the same photo.

My suggestion is to submit another PR for the springs we need from Grainger. From my past orders from Grainger, they are pretty quick about delivering items and items usually arrive within one week. If the springs we get from Grainger are what is needed, then we are done and we cancel the original procurement. If the springs from Grainger do not have the flattened ends, then we can return them for a refund and wait on the original procurement.

-Tyler
