Thanks Mark,
When the lift plan is finished, please send it back to me so I can send the RICH assembly OSP for signature.
Marc

Hi Mark,
I am attaching the new calculations done for the RICH winch load, the load calculation with the stiffening frame is included (page 274). In addition I have attached the BTHLD you did with us last time and the drawings for the stiffening tool which has the lifting connections. The new distance between the swivels is 75".
Let us know if you need any more documentation to update the lift plan.
Regards,
Marc

Not a problem. I will support whatever you need. I just need to confirm the distance between the hoist rings on the fixture to confirm the actual sling tension in your given arrangement. Marc was supposed to end the info to but hasn’t yet. Just wanted to do a quick check to ensure we don’t exceed the sling capacity. I attached some emails that Marc and I had between us last month. I don’t expect any problems.

Hi Mark,
Just to keep you informed, we're getting ready to assemble a new Hall B RICH detector in EEL 124. We've already started getting the safety documentation together and Marc McMullen has already been in contact with you about the lift and rigging portions of that.
We already know that we need to update a few lift calculations since for this assembly, we'll be using the stiffening tool on the detector during rotation.
The RICH collaborators are tentatively scheduled to arrive at the lab and be able to start working on January 17, 2022. On that day, we'll be able to review the rotation lift calculations and provide the final documents for the rotation lift plan.
After we provide the documents, what would be needed to have the lift plan approved? Hopefully the lift plan approval can be completed within a day or two so it doesn't interfere with the collaborator's tight schedule at JLab.
Thanks,
Tyler
