[dsg-hallb_rich] RICH sector 4 n2 volume cRIO back up

Hi Nathan,
We'll probably need to submit a second PR for the additional PDUs.
I think the cRIOs are pretty scattered around the hall, so it'll take a bit to see what (if any) can be grouped together.

I had started writing a followup email but was too slow ....
If it's not too late, I'd be in support of increasing the PDU quantity a bit (or adding another PR). Maybe something closer to the number of cRios in Hall B (that are too far from others to share a PDU). What would that number be? I suspect it's not a big expense and probably worthwhile, as I think we've seen these cRios occasionally need a reboot and these PDUs can come in handy in the future for other devices nearby (each socket is independently controllable).
Ok, just a thought.

P.S. Tripp-Lite also has 20 A models, and the price difference wasn't too much last time I ordered one, maybe 20% more than the 15 A model.

Once we receive the PDU, I'll let everyone know so its installation can be coordinated.

Hi Nathan,
Yes, I think it would be helpful to put the cRIOs on something that lets them be rebooted remotely if they aren't available on the network.
The systems are on a UPS so I'll look and see if that has any accessories that allow remote control of the power outlets.
If not, the one you sent the datasheet for seems like it'd be good.

Thanks Tyler,
Should we start putting cRios on remotely controllable PDUs?
These are about $400 each, but maybe there's better options:

Hello,
I locally power cycled the RICH Sector 4 N2 volume cRIO and everything came back up for EPICS connection.
All of its sensors are now working correctly and as anticipated, the humidity inside the detector is still <1% RH.
Later today, I’ll send out information on how the steps for a local reboot so everyone has the info incase it a similar situation to yesterday happens.
Thanks again Nathan for your help and offering to look at it this morning!
