[Dsg-rtpc] RTPC/BONuS12 Testing

Dear all,

just to be clear: For the set-up in the EEL, we have been communicating with Walt for a while already and also started to draw up OSPs etc. I have added a couple more people who are going to be doing the actual work in the EEL to this list, and they may be able to provide further detail. We will NOT use any part of the target gas system (or the target itself) in the EEL, so the only safety-relevant part of that set up will be
a) the detector gas system (non-flammable He-CO2 at pressures only slightly above atmospheric), delivered through the W&M gas panel
b) The pre-mix pressurized gas bottles (which can be handled the same way as in the case of the micromegas tests or kept outside the EEL and piped in)
c) Detector HV (up to 6000 V but with low threshold current trip). 
There won’t be any need for lifting heavy equipment, work at height, or any other mechanical work - the detector will be delivered as a self-contained unit and simply hooked up to the same equipment that was used for the micromegas readout. 

We have already written up the general safety concerns and mitigation for the whole detector system for the updated Hall B ESAD that we will need anyway to eventually operate in the Hall for the run - this was submitted to Ed Folts. If this is useful, we can of course pull out the relevant parts for operation in the EEL. In addition, we would be glad of course to provide any additional documents that may be needed. However, since the whole point of the setup in the EEL is to test several aspects of detector operation, it may be impossible to anticipate exactly who will do what when - as long as we can provide a complete list of people involved, a general time plan (see Dr. Hattawy’s schedule), and an overview of the planned measurements, I hope that would be sufficient.
