[Dsg-rtpc] Gas panel Components

Hi Everyone,

Madhu noticed this morning that the flow rate was set to 0. Brian noticed that the software for the drift gas system was reset. We got it back to bubbling at a rate of 250 sccm.

When DSG replaces the next pressure sensor it would be to have Madhu, Raemaad, and Jiwan be there see it.

CV1 is a pressure bleed off valve. It's purpose is to limit pressure in the DMS gas volume to 1 psi in case of operator (human) error.

The purpose of most, if not all, gas system componenets is covered in the attached document from Aug 2018.

Apparently mine olden eyes are going bad (in fact, I’ll have surgery in 2 weeks!)
I had overlooked PT3 - that’s exactly what I meant. So all is good. I still think that we need to find out what the purpose of CV1 is, and if we don’t need it (to maintain pressure vessel compliance), we should take it out. We can ask Bill Crahen.

Other than that, I’m looking forward to a picture of just the gas panel (no need to include people ;-)

- Sebastian

BTW, I hope we can keep those “last minute addition” pressure meters as they will be VERY useful during the run…

  1. so you want to measure the pressure before and after the buffer volume? because PT3 is supposed to measure the differential pressure buffer/atmosphere (and it was your suggestion). PI2 is a pressure indicator before the flowmeter TO the buffer volume.
