Dear Jiwan,
I'm glad that Marc and Brian were able to help right away.
Much as I'm happy about this matter I want you to know this:
I did not appreciate that you asked them for help without having consulted with Bob.

Bob as the project engineer for Hall B, is in charge of Hall B and all the detectors that go in there.
I see no response to Bob's e-mail in which he says  "I will have one of our guys work on the gas panel on Tuesday.  Are you available then?"
Hence, i do not like the fact that my supervisees, Brian and Marc, worked on your project.

With regards to future work on your project, if you need Marc/Brian to work on your project  contact me by e-mail.
I'll ensure that Bob is aware of the request and see that it is OK for DSG to pitch in.
I've instructed DSG not to work on your project without my approval.

He is crystal clear about how one should proceed.

The only thing we need right now is half inch and quarter inch reunion for pipe fittings. Do you have some?
