Hello Alberto,

Another quick thought:

After speaking to Pablo, I thought it may be helpful to mention that the issue with random parameter changes while using EPICS has not been observed when only one board is populated in the crate. Previously when we have seen these parameter changes we have been operating with a fully populated crate, so this may be one reason you have not been able to reproduce this issue.

Just a thought.

Warm regards,
Aaron Brown

Hi Aaron,

after my answer to your email I had a brainstorming with my colleagues of HV division concerning the issue 2.
We don't have yet an explanation of that wrong behavior and there some question we would like ask you.

1) thet load is 2 MΩ for each channel, but which is the voltage of each channel?
2) the board that, let'say, "disappear" could be one with the load attached or one without load, we need to knwo how many boards are inserted in the Sy4527 and how many of them have the load.

3) Can you verify if each of the boards (with the load) on the setup that shows the issue have the pins in the right position? One of our hypotesis is that if the pins ( male and female) are not well plugged, it is possible that a bad contact could induce discharges that power off that board or one next to that..

Best Regards,
Alberto
