Based on the quote I received last year (attached) the cost for a crate is roughly $5726.

Hi Mark,

Apologies for the late response.
We were planning on procuring this for next fiscal year (FY 2023).
I can go ahead and start the procurement process now and submit the PR for FY 2023.
Just to clarify, we were only thinking of procuring a spare 4527 crate, I don't think there's a need for us to get any extra HV modules as NPS already has a few (roughly 4 spares).

If this sounds good with you, I'll go ahead and start this process.

Aaron,
           I could not procure one this year. Are you talking about next year?
Did you want to start this now?
 My understanding is that we have a CAEN HV crate that we are
planning to install next spring unless we have do to it earlier if there
is a failure of the present old CAEN units  during the running experiments.
If you wanted to start soon, maybe you could use that with the understanding
that we may need it in an emergency and then we could buy one next year.
Anyway we can talk about the options.

Hi Mark,

We in the DSG were discussing the possibility of getting a spare CAEN crate and maybe an assortment of high voltage modules to use for testing/debugging for the halls.
Since Hall C uses so many of these crates and modules, do you think this is something that Hall C would be willing or able to procure?
Let me know what you think of this idea.
