hi brian, 
why can't we order a new supply? 


    1. is it a long lead time item? 
    2. is it expensive? 

if the answer is no to both questions above, order one on hall d account. 



    1. could ship the new controller back and ask for a replacement? 
    2. will NI loan us a chassis? 

hope the stockroom has some?

Tyler/Pablo, 

Since the power supply in the VME crate I have that probably fits only has 20A on the +12V line I don't see the point in swapping it. 

Can you guys check with Don over in the stock room tomorrow to see if they have a supply that will work (needs the same or higher numbers for the currents) in free stock? If they don't power supplies, maybe they have computers you guys could pull one from? 

Attached is a picture of the ratings on the PXI supply. 


The dimensions of it are 150 x 86 x 140 mm (w x h x d) it's the depth of 140mm that we've been running into issues with since most of the supplies we have are deeper than that. 

I don't know that the power supply is actually bad, but better to try stuff while we wait on NI to reply than do nothing.
