Hi Tyler,

At one time there was a plan was to eventually add individual flow meters for the DIRC barboxes and optical boxes.  This is why they have separate names but are assigned to the same channel.  Please include the IO for at least 12 channels, and a spare IO module.  We can always add more IO to the remote chassis later if needed.

Hi Tim and Nick,

I've gathered a list of signals on the FCAL PLC that will need to be moved to the new Point IO system that DSG is developing.

Below is a table with the signals found. There are 12 PLC tags for the DIRC and ComCal. However, some of these tags are linked to the same input channel (like the bar box top and bottom differential pressures). These channels are highlighted in the table below.

Should the point IO system be configured in the same way? Or should we leave open channels for the potential addition of separate sensors for each tag?

I also received a quote on the modules needed from EECO.
The 1734-AENT Point IO Ethernet Adapter is $508.92.
The 1734-IE2V two-channel analog voltage input module is $289.88 per module.

I will put together a final cost estimate once the number of channels to be monitored are finalized.
