[dsg-hdice] Zurich Lock-In Amplifier

Hello Tom,

I work with Peter so he forwarded me you email.

You should be able to remotely access the Zurich lock-in amplifier from any Hall B subnet PC. In the past all HDice PCs were put on the Hall B subnet, but it seems like this may have changed if you cannot connect to the lock-in amplifier from a PC in the HDice lab.

I do know that the lock-in amplifier has been assigned the hostname "zurich1" with the IP 129.57.86.121 so that may need to be updated in LabOne since it's a new IP. I can't ping the lock-in amplifier, so it may be disconnected all together from the network. Xiangdong did say he was going to move the NMR racks around sometime soon, so he may be in the process of the move.

Also, I'm in the process of installing LabOne on one of our Hall B subnet PCs to see if I can connect to the lock-in amplifier. The PC is rebooting after the installation so it may take a while. I'll let you know whether it works.

Thanks,
Tyler

Hi Peter,

My name is Thomas O'Connell and I'm a grad student with the HDIce group.
Xiangdong Wei let me know that our Zurich Lock-In amplifier has been moved
to the Hall B subnet. He also asked me to lend him a hand in figuring out
how to access the Lock-In amplifier remotely from our PCs and suggested I
reach out to you.

I was just curious if anyone from DSG has been able to use the browser
based LabOne app to access the amplifier remotely since it was added to
the new subnet?

I also noticed this afternoon, our PC (HDICENMR1), can no longer access
the amplifier. I suspect that has to do with the amplifier being added to
the Hall B subnet and that some of the PCs in the HDIce lab might not be
on that subnet.

Best Regards,
Tom
