Hi Xiangdong,

Thank you for your feedback.

We'll take a look at your comments in more detail, but below are my preliminary responses to them. Your comments are in blue, my response is in black.

  1. The history plot of phase was white, but not RED.
     * This might be an instance of the plot's settings reverting to its default some how. We can take a look to see if there is a way to set the plot colors at the start of the program to make sure the average is red and the "live" data is white.
  2. The origins of the spike on X and Y plots are not known. The difference of two smooth curves should also be smooth.
     * We'll have to take a look at the program to see if there are any potential sources, like an error in auto-adjustment of gain.
  3. The spike on the phase plot was caused by the shift of discontinue point between live and background signals. Maybe we should consider to display R and Theta, instead of delta_R and delta_Theta. (I need to think more for this.)
     * It would be easy enough to display the non-backgorund subtracted R and Phase, so just let us know what you decide.

Also, we would like to start having bi-weekly HDice meetings again (remotely, of course) to discuss the fsNMR program and the status of other things DSG would work on for HDice.

Since it is easier to occasionally cancel or reschedule a meeting, I will go ahead and schedule bi-weekly meetings starting this week on July 9 for 2:00 (the same time we've previously had meetings) and send out a Bluejeans link. I'll also send out a basic meeting agenda for this week's meeting so we have set topics or questions we know will be discussed.

Best regards,
Tyler

Hi Tyler,

I just finished a "quick" test. I'll analyze the result in the next few days. For now, I can see some cosmetic issues on the attach screen shot.

  1. The history plot of phase was white, but not RED.
  2. The origins of the spike on X and Y plots are not known. The difference of two smooth curves should also be smooth.
  3. The spike on the phase plot was caused by the shift of discontinue point between live and background signals. Maybe we should consider to display R and Theta, instead of delta_R and delta_Theta. (I need to think more for this.)

Adding a starting comment which allow me to write some notes for the scan would be nice, since the moment of entering the end comment is very hard to catch. (Since a single 2500-point trace took ~10 minutes to collect, it's too long to wait for the end of the run.)

This is my thought so far.

Thanks,

Xiangdong
