I emailed Ed about the situation and he offered a different solution.  He
suggested connecting my personal laptop to the Lock-In amplifier with the
USB cable.  I could let him use my laptop to activate the device features.
Once he activates the features, any PC that connects to the device will
automatically have access to the new features.

In this case, the earliest we could start the trial would be Tuesday
afternoon.

Tyler, I can make sure you have as much access to the device as possible
to explore the new features before you go on vacation.  I can check them
out in the evening and on the weekend when you are away.

I will contact Ed again and get back with an update.
