Hi Tyler,
I hope your vacation went well. I wanted to give you an update on the
Boxcar Averager. Ed met with me 3 times to help me set up the system in a
way that would work. After some investigating and assistance from another
Zurich scientist (Jim), they determined that we would not be able to use
Boxcar Averager for NMR applications. As such, we are not going to
continue working on the Boxcar Averager for NMR purpose. I can give you
more details later when I have extra time.
Jim believes the method we were using of subtracting out the average
background to isolate the signal, is the best method. He heard about our
issues with the H5 files and suggested first taking a file save from
LabOne. Then he said it should be possible to replace change the sweep
data of 1 sweep with the data of the average of all the sweeps. As long
as we don't change anything else, it should be ok. The metadata in the
file save that LabOne looks at the authenticate the file, should be there
to allow the file to be read in LabOne.
Ed said he's still available to help us with this issue and can send him
questions any time.
Regards,
Tom
