Hi Charles,
Thanks for the document. I edited it, see attached.
The results shown on the invariant mass distribution turned out to be a
software issue that will be fixed in few days, so the first sub-bullet
is removed. I looked at the fastmc simulations, it was 15 MeV for the
full field, number is corrected.
I talked to Sergei, he is confident that we can run DAQ at very high
(>15 kHz, depends on FADC mode). I think it is better to stick with
nominal number, >10 kHz.
I do not agree and do not like this prescaling based on the electron
energy. First it will be very uncertain transition region from low to
high, second it will make almost impossible to have cross section
measurements. I did not remove it from the document, but I do not think
we should discuss this option with RG A until more will be known about
the real trigger rates. Prescaling the whole "loose electron" trigger is
a different thing. As far I know there is no experiment that needs
inclusive electron, so if single "loose electron" trigger rate will be
unacceptable other triggers must be discussed, e.g. two electrons
mentioned in the document, or e- and a hadron, or e- and a neutral. I
think this kind of options can be brought at the table and discussed.
Regards, Stepan
